After nearly 50 years of womyn having the right to an abortion when they needed it, the Supreme Court today issued its ruling in the Dobbs V Jackson case, which overturned Roe V. Wade. The ruling was a 5-4 decision along ideological lines.
Almost half of the states are expected to outlaw or restrict abortions in the most extreme ways imaginable. These laws mean tens of millions of womyn won’t have access to reproductive care. For the rest of the country, it will be a hodgepodge patchwork of laws, leaving no woman unaffected by this decision.
But the extremist, Christian Jihadists won’t stop with womyn’s reproductive rights, they’ve already told us they’re planning on coming after contraception, gay marriage, interracial marriage, and a whole host of other rights that we have taken for granted as settled issues — including school desegregation!
The fight isn’t over, womyn have said they will not go back. Make no mistake, we are all in danger and we all need to fight!
