Complainant, who had listed his white and blue 2011 Yamaha motorcycle ($5,000) for sale, met an unknown Black male wearing a gray hoodie and gray jeans at listed location. When compl. started the bike, the male jumped on it and fled the area. Compl. followed offender to the area of 23rd and Indiana where he lost sight of him. Compl. Connected with offender through a Facebook profile with the name “Dontae.” Page no longer exists.

Complainant reported that her banking cards were stolen from the mail by known offender, who claimed responsibility in a text he sent to her. His message also included the phrase “I got something for you.” Compl also claimed offender took her child’s social security card and birth certificate.

Complainant left his apartment at listed time and returned at 3PM. He noticed several items were missing (white PS5 w 2 controllers, DeWalt laser, and an HP laptop. $1400). Compl believes the offender also took a shower and cooked food on stove before leaving. Police unable to recover fingerprints. No signs of forced entry. The compl’s next-door neighbor saw a white male (20s, wearing a black baseball cap and jacket, and blue jeans) peeking through rear windows of compl’s property between 2 and 3PM. Neighbor declined to provide more information or assistance.

Compl’s neighbor has camera footage of white vehicle parked next to compl’s car at 3:37AM. Unknown person exited the vehicle and appeared to break open door of compl’s car. No description of offender or make/model of car at time of report.

Police responded to the listed location for a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, officers checked the doors and discovered that the front door was left unlocked/open. They conducted a walk-through with negative results. The business owner was contacted and stated that an unknown person walked in, heard the alarm, and immediately exited the business. There were no signs of forced entry. Nothing was taken. Detectives notified.

Police responded to radio call for report of vandalism. Complainant stated she had parked her green 2012 Kia Soul at 4PM on 5/17. When she returned the next day at 7:50AM, she noticed that the front passenger-side window and the vehicle’s steering column were damaged ($600). Compl. stated nothing was taken from the car.

Complainant parked his vehicle on 5/16. When he returned at 9PM the next day, he observed that the rear passenger-side window was smashed and the car’s passenger-side headlight ($150) was missing. The only item missing from inside the vehicle was a flashlight.

Complainant last saw her gray 2017 Hyundai Elantra at the listed date and time when she left for vacation. While she was away, the 22nd District contacted her to inform her that her car was found on the 2200 block of Dover Street with the windows and ignition damaged. The vehicle was towed to a safe location.

Unknown person(s) stole a rented Royal Flush port-o-potty ($1114) from the listed location sometime between 1:30PM on 5/11 and 9:30AM on 5/17. When complainant noticed the port-o-potty was missing, she called the rental company, which said it hadn’t picked it up. No surveillance video was available at time of the police report.

Complainant’s surveillance system showed a light-skinned male with a beard and hat with a tattoo (of fish) on his forearm attempting to gain entry through the front door. Surveillance then showed offender going to the back of the property and placing a ladder up to a rear window in an attempt to access a window on the second floor. When he failed to enter, he instead stole a case of water ($10) from the front porch and fled the scene. Complainant has surveillance available upon request.

Complainant states that offender kicked in his apartment door and started fighting him. She hit the compl with a pan and stated she was going to get a gun from her car. The compl’s current girlfriend was on location, witnessed it, and has video of the incident. Police observed damage to the door and a lump on the compl’s head. The offender was later stopped by police and was positively identified by compl and witness.

Police responded to burglary call. Complainant told them he left his home at 11:30AM and, when he returned at approx 6PM, he noticed his furniture was in disarray and several items were missing: iPad(8th gen) $500, bicycle (yellow/pink) $100, Nintendo Switch $800, and a check book. Compl believes offender entered through rear laundry room window because several plants in the area were out of place. No signs of forced entry because compl. had left window unlocked.
