Mañana’s giant red chili may be gone from our streetscape, but it lives on in the hearts of East Falls Flyers!
The East Falls Flyers repped the neighborhood last month with a giant chili pepper baton at West Philly Runners’ 26 x 1 Relays. In its 6th year, the team marathon relay pits local running groups against each other, with members running one mile each for a collective marathon.
EFF’s time was 3:11:05 — nicely done, guys! Congrats to everyone who came out for a fun day in beautiful Woodland Cemetery. (Pics courtesy of EFF’s Facebook page where you can view more pics & video, too.)
Thanks to EF Flyer Liz Vaden for passing along this fun story.
WHO ARE THE EAST FALLS FLYERS? Founded in 2016, this friendly group is all about social running and fun. Members meet every 6:30 pm every Monday on the Kelly Drive side of the Falls Bridge for a group run of a few miles, followed by a post-run happy hour at a neighborhood bar or restaurant. All paces and faces are welcome! Follow them on Facebook for pics & details on upcoming runs.
