Breakfast Boutique coming to East Falls

Breakfast fans, mark your calendars! The Breakfast Boutique, a restaurant that serves “all-day breakfast with elegant charm and southern hospitality” according to owners Rob and Dez Pollard, is slated to open in March at the old Trolley Car Café space on Kelly Drive & Ferry Road.

We knew it wouldn’t be long before a new restaurant arrived in that space. The location, with views of the river and access to the Schuylkill River recreational trail, was just too good to sit vacant.

The menu will offer plenty of breakfast choices — from eggs, omelets, pancakes and stuffed French toast, to specialized dishes such as fried tilapia with grits and cornbread, beef or turkey burgers, a variety of sandwiches, salads, quesadillas, wraps and fish and chips. There are also several gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. (There’s also a wide variety of lunch options)

The East Falls location, called River Falls, will be the third restaurant for the Pollards, who’ve got locations in Chestnut Hill and Mt Airy. The couple opened their first “Boutique” in 2014 and have been fine tuning a menu ever since that includes traditional staples as well as inventive specials courtesy of the artistic hand of Robert, a chef with 25 years of experience and a degree from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. He’s also an actual artist, which adds a great visual presentation to the Boutique meals, according to Dez.

Welcome to the Pollards and best of luck!
