Crime Report: June 2022

4530 Kelly Dr. (Schuylkill River Trail parking lot) 
4PM
Complainant parked her car at listed location to go for a walk with friends. When she returned at 5:15PM she saw that her front passenger-side window had been smashed and several items were missing: Red/pink Kate Spade handbag ($200) and a black wallet with IDs and credit cards. Offender tried to use cards at CVS and Dollar General store but were declined.

4201 Ridge Ave. (LeBus restaurant)
6:12PM
While complainant was dining at restaurant, an unknown female took her purse, which was hanging on compl’s chair, and left the location. The purse was found 30 minutes later on the roadway and returned to the compl, but several items were missing: $288 cash, 2 Target gift cards ($50). Kohl’s gift card ($25) and Shoprite gift card ($25). Compl has video of the incident. Offender: Black female wearing white jacket and black pants.

When complainant returned to his Jeep Wrangler and Volkswagen Golf, he noticed cash missing from each vehicle (total $30) and both vehicles appeared to have been ransacked. Compl states he secured both vehicles when he parked them. Both vehicles were on private property. No cameras.

Complainant last saw her red 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 ES ($9500) at 6PM when she parked it. When she returned the following morning to begin her Uber shift, she noticed it was gone. Compl lost a spare key to vehicle over a year ago. Vehicle has a pink steering wheel cover and LED Uber sign.

Complainant parked her 2017 Nissan Pathfinder at listed location. When she returned at 2:10PM she saw that her passenger-side window had been damaged and her vehicle had been broken into. Missing: Brown purse ($1200) and Apple Airpods ($140).

Complainant parked her 2013 Nissan Maxima at listed location. When she returned on 6/15 at 6:40AM she saw that her passenger side mirror had been torn off and her vehicle had been broken into. Missing: Pair of cream-colored Vans sneakers ($90).

2:15PM
Complainant was notified that packages were delivered to her address. When she returned home, they were missing. Compl checked cameras and saw unknown Black male (appeared to be in his late 20’s) take packages from front porch. Missing: Range finder ($400) and energy drinks ($30).

5500 Wissahickon Ave. (Alden Park Apts)

Complainant allowed his daughter to have shoes she ordered (green Baltini Lido sandals, $920) to be delivered to his address. He received notification that the shoes were delivered on 6/10, but could find no sign of the package at his apartment or in mail room. Complainant was advised to make a claim with the shoe manufacturer.

6:30PM
Unknown person(s) smashed passenger-side front window of complainant’s 2020 Volvo and took several items from her vehicle: black Louis Vuitton wallet ($500) with $70 cash inside, multiple IDs ($20), pair of Rayban sunglasses ($150), pair of Torri Brown sunglasses ($200), set of keys with key FOB ($200). No prints located.

Complainant parked his 2020 Jeep Wrangler at listed location. When he returned, he saw that front passenger-side window had been smashed with an unknown object and several items were taken from under the passenger front seat. No surveillance in area. Black/brown purse with wallet, debit cards, driver license, passport. (Value: $600)

8AM
Complainant parked his 2020 Chevy Traverse at listed location. When he returned at 9AM on 6/13, he discovered several items missing from vehicle: (2) bulletproof vests, handcuffs, (2) .40 caliber magazines (value: $2500). (Compl is an Adjutant General officer, assigned to the FBI.) NW detectives and front desk notified. Cameras on location.

7:30AM
Complainant parked his Lexus RX350 on a lot and entered Fairmount Park. At 8:30AM he received text message notifications from PNC bank of a purchase attempt made with his credit card at CVS drug store (2320 Fairmount Ave.) Compl then returned to his car and discovered several items missing: (2) Coach wallets (one black, one brown), $370 cash. Several credit cards and IDs. No damage to the vehicle, which compl claims was locked when he left it.

Complainant parked her 2005 Honda Element on the street near 3500 Warden Drive on 5/30. When she returned on 6/11 at 8:57AM, she discovered that the catalytic converter ($1500) was missing.

Complainant parked her 2015 Subaru Outback at listed location. When she returned at 12:40PM she saw that her front passenger-side window had been smashed ($300) and her wallet ($50) was missing.

If you have security cameras, please register them with OPERATION SAFECAM – it’s a free service offered by the Police Department. Video captured by your camera may assist in the investigation of a crime.
