3601 Midvale Ave. (Rite Aid)

Offender entered Rite Aid, selected various vitamins, DayQuil, and NyQuil, and concealed the items in his jacket. He passed all points of sale without paying. Loss prevention staff observed the theft, and when police arrived, Ballard was arrested at the scene. The stolen goods, valued at $155.91, were recovered, and video surveillance footage was available.

Complainant parked her 2018 black Toyota RAV4 at approximately 12:15PM at the listed location. Upon returning at around 1:55PM, she discovered that the rear passenger window of her vehicle had been shattered. The following items were stolen from the vehicle: $300 in cash, a Louis Vuitton handbag valued at $1,200, and a passport. No witnesses were identified, and no security footage was available.

Complainant parked his 2017 gray Infiniti Q70 at the listed location at approximately 1AM on 11/10. When he returned to the vehicle at around 12PM on 11/10, he observed that the passenger side rear window had been broken, and the center console was opened. No items were taken from the vehicle. No scene was processed by the responding officer due to contamination. Exterior cameras were available. A victim compensation form was given to the complainant.

Complainant reported that their 2019 Hyundai Sonata was stolen after being parked at the listed location. No signs of forced entry were found, and the vehicle was not towed. The vehicle was registered in Pennsylvania, and police were unable to find it in the tow files.

Witness, a police officer, received a radio call regarding an illegally parked 2015 Nissan Pathfinder at listed location. He later learned that the call had been made by a towing company. While the vehicle was indeed parked illegally, it was not in a private lot or blocking a driveway. The officer had instructed the towing company not to tow the vehicle, but upon returning to check, he discovered that it had been towed anyway. The officer worked with the vehicle’s owner (who was on the scene and had reported the vehicle stolen) to recover it.

Police stopped the offender and recovered a black Springfield Hellcat semi-auto 9MM and 13 live rounds. The offender was transported for further processing.

The following items were stolen from her vehicle: AirPods ($120), $40 in cash, chargers ($120), a gray Dell laptop ($700), library books ($90), various documents, and a workbag/Coach wallet ($100).
