Two new businesses, one tidy alliance raising the bar on clean, inside and out.
Mabrouk and Julia Tallouz didn’t plan on launching a cleaning company right after getting married. But just a few months into their new life together, the couple found themselves sketching logos, filing for an LLC, and scouring YouTube for business tips.
Today, Ecogloo Cleaning is up and running, one of two new East Falls cleaning services offering residential and commercial care while creating flexible job opportunities for local workers. They’ve teamed up with K&B Exterior Washing to provide whole-property cleaning packages, from curb to kitchen.
“Honestly, I was watching YouTube to fall asleep,” said Mabrouk, who’d been managing a local pizza shop, since completing his business degree. “And I kept getting ideas: how to register the business, what to do first. So I wrote everything down. Then the next morning, I just got started.”
His wife and business partner, Julia, brought her own experience: years of cleaning work in nursing homes and private residences, along with a knack for digital marketing and commercial trends. They decided to focus on how a clean environment supports better health, productivity, and quality of life.
“I told Mabrouk, ‘Let’s go for it,’” she said. “We had the skills. We just needed to believe in ourselves.”
A Full-Service Clean, Inside and Out
That belief extends beyond their own company. Ecogloo collaborates with one of Mabrouk’s former coworkers, who has also started his own business partnership. Brandon and his longtime friend Kevin went to school together at St. Bridget’s in East Falls, and now they provide pressure washing, soft washing, and high-reach window cleaning using an ultra-purified water system that leaves glass spotless without the need for cloth wipe-downs (or, more importantly, ladders).
Their origin story is strikingly similar: Brandon clicked on a video titled “How to Make $900 a Day Cleaning Windows” and fell down a rabbit hole. “I didn’t believe it at first, but then I just kept watching,” he said. “I started learning everything I could.” Before long, he and Kevin had built a trailer rig, launched their LLC, and began quoting jobs.
“We’ve both been working union and maintenance jobs for years,” said Kevin. “But this is ours. We’re building it from the ground up.”
Together, the two companies deliver expert, seamless cleaning services: Ecogloo handles a property’s interior, while K&B tackles the exterior. “It’s a real partnership where we help each other grow,” said Mabrouk. “They do their job, we do ours. Everyone wins.”
Both businesses are based in a newly-renovated commercial space on Scotts Lane, where they share access to office space, a loading dock, and storage. “We were the first tenants when it opened up,” said Mabrouk. “It used to be a mess, but now they have everything, it makes the perfect home base.”
From Libya to Lancaster to East Falls
Mabrouk’s path to business ownership began continents away. He grew up in Libya, studied in Italy, and came to the U.S. in 2008. After graduating from Temple with a degree in business management, he worked a series of jobs — restaurants, retail, delivery — always keeping one eye on the dream of building something of his own.
“Even when I didn’t have much money, I said, ‘Let me start with what I’ve got,’” he recalled. “I didn’t wait for everything to be perfect. I just started.”
Julia brings her own hometown roots and caregiving experience to the table. Before moving to Philly, she lived in Lancaster, where she often offered free cleaning to seniors and women with disabilities in her neighborhood. “It started as a way to help out,” she said, “but I realized how meaningful it was. How much of a difference a clean, safe home can make.”
Jobs That Work for Real Life
For Julia, the cleaning business isn’t just about sparkle — it’s about structure. Specifically, creating jobs that fit the lives of single parents, caregivers, and part-time workers looking to earn extra income.

“I’ve been doing interviews almost every day,” she said. “We’re offering flexible hours, real wages, and transportation. People can say yes or no to a job without feeling pressured.” For Julia, giving staff the freedom to build their own schedules builds trust and loyalty. “It’s a great opportunity for anyone who has a few hours here and there to earn some money.”
Mabrouk adds, “You’ve got people trying to pay bills, support their kids, enjoy the summer, get through the holidays. A weekend cleaning job that brings in $150 can mean the world.”
They’ve already hired multiple workers (so far mostly women) for on-call jobs, but as more contracts come in, they’ll soon have full-time positions to fill. Julia finds a real satisfaction in the work itself, and the sense of camaraderie it builds. “I want people to feel like this is a place that supports them,” she said. “Not just another job that burns you out.”
Now, together, they’re building a business in East Falls that blends their strengths: Mabrouk’s vision and network with Julia’s compassion and community touch.
The team is eyeing long-term contracts with schools, daycares, and care facilities—especially in under-resourced neighborhoods. K&B is on a similar track, recently landing a school window-cleaning job where Brandon also works in maintenance.
“Doing good work brings good things back to you,” Mabrouk said, to everyone’s agreement. “And East Falls is a great place to build something. If you show up, people remember.”

📱 The Dirt on Digital: How Jules & the KB Guys Are Scrubbing Up Followers
When Jules isn’t out cleaning homes or coordinating Ecogloo’s growing team of on-call cleaners, she’s online—filming before-and-after shots, crafting captions, and chasing the ever-elusive “satisfying clean” scroll.
“I literally mess up my own house just to film myself cleaning it,” she laughed. “People love a good transformation.”
A former social media manager and beauty brand owner, Jules knows how to build buzz. She’s active on Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor, and Craigslist, posting in more than 140 local groups to connect with neighbors and grow Ecogloo’s reach.
“Everyone scrolls at 2 a.m.,” she said. “If someone sees a fridge go from ‘what died in here’ to sparkling white, they remember it. That’s the magic.”
Jules is building a shared library of content with K&B Exterior Washing to highlight their most dramatic transformations, and demonstrate for viewers the benefits of coordinated cleaning. She’s especially interested in unusual or challenging cleaning jobs: seniors, post-construction sites, cluttered basements, and anything that looks “impossibly gross.”
“Those are the ones that really make great content,” she said. “And honestly, I love helping people reclaim their space.”
Got a weird mess? She might clean it—for free.
